whoever said "failing to plan is planning to fail" was 100% correct.
since i dont have time for a full post, here are some highlights.

- after san juan del sur, we hit up granada. we managed to fit 7 of us in a pickup truck with all of our stuff... suprisingly 3 of our group actually volunteered to sit in the back.

- the next day we hit up the city. i became known as the guy who took sly pics of all the hot girls. this town has alot of them. we did the city tour, and then walked around the local market. one of my favorite things is to go to the butcher alley. i dont know why. it really is fucking disgusting, but i guess subconciously i am hoping it will convince me to become a vegetarian....

- we did a lake tour after that in this lake that had many islands - you can buy an island for 100
k if you are interested...we came back and then started to booze it up while playing dominoes. this became our new group activity...its fun as shit, requires you to think, and best of all can say
dominoes bitch!!!

- as usual i got faded and then a couple of us hit the clubs. i then talked to two of the hottest girls there. one was a swedish girl and then the other was a us girl who was moving to nicarugua to learn spanish. i must have talked to her for 4 hours... i was dying at the end. i learned about her whole life..it was insane. at the end, i was at my wits end... i was just tired... she finally said enough talking and lets dance. i dont know why i did not ask her before... oh yeah, at first she said there were too many people. anyhow, i knew i had no energy to dance so i got a quick shot while she went to the bathroom. she came back before i did and sid said that killed my game. i got back to the seat 3 mins later and she was talking about going home. fuck me. sid and i dropped her and her friend off and then sid told me i fucked it up. oh well.... i did sneak a pic at the end...haha

- the next day i got food poisioning. we went to masaya market and all i could think about was yakking. we then went to a live volcano and i mustered the energy to climb up and take some pics. finally at 4, i was able to get it all out. gallons of shit came out, but i felt awesome. we then went swimming in this awesome lake in the middle of the mountains with the warmest water ever.

- anyhow, i thought i would extend my trip for three more days. when i called
american airlines, they said it would be 150 to change. i thought that was reasonablee. however when i tried to charge it, they said it was 500. there goes my freaking savings! making the call to request this change cost 40 as well... as you can imagine i was furious.

- to cool off, i headed to a local natural springs near my hotel. it was a half hour walk, and
i was too cheap to rent a horse. luckily, a pickup truck driven by a guy from nj rolled through and gave me a ride. the springs were awesome. its kinda of like a really pimp pool at the fanciest hotel. and luck would it have as i started to walk home, the same dude was rolling back and gave me a ride back...my luck is turning...

so right now, i am on a island in the middle of nicaruaga. its really cool.

- my friends left last sunday, so the last couple of days have been different. its awesome to meet people and hear their stories. sorry a donkey just entered the internet cafe. i have been lucky to meet some cool people and they all have been kind enough to let me travel with them. some have told me where to go and in general have been really helpful. i am right now with a bunch of swedes and we are about to climb a mountain to see a waterfall

i guess the other cliche holds true - when life gives you a lemon, make lemonade!!!
