“Nairobi, Baby, Nairobi”
There are certain things that are just not meant to be done. Betting against Kobe in the 4th. Wasting alcohol. In my case, eating meat in front of my parents. However, none are as inexcusable as what I did last night.
I split tens. And when I got another ten after the first split, I split them again. I don’t know why I did it – but I found myself doing it repeatedly (well to be truthful, I was consistently betting on someone who played in this manner). And of course I lost 3000 shillings, or @ $50 – but I still came out ahead as I definitely drank more than that.
On Friday, after doing a little shopping in one of Nairobi's "finest" malls, and getting some action with giraffes (I fed some giraffes by holding up some pellets in mouth and may or may not have gotten some tongue - ass is ass) , SB took me and my friend AD to a fine Italian meal and then we hit up the casino. My friend AD has this bad habit of splitting tens. I was playing fine by myself, but I found more sucess and pleasure betting on my friends hands. After all, the joy was shared - when they won, I won, etc. However, I started betting on my friend AD's hand and twice ended up with 1500 shillings on the table.. I lost one and won one. Stressful times.
The best part of the experience was asking for service - unlike Vegas where they yell service and the waiter comes out thirty minutes later, the host rings a bell, where i shit you not,in a minute there is a guy asking for your order. This is awesome in one sense, but getting free liquour delivered to you this fast is quite dangerous - I think ended up with 7-8 double gin and tonics.

While normally in Vegas after some late night gambling, we would head to the SC. i believe in Nairboi there are some, but with STDs and the HIV floating around like no one's business, I am glad we resorted to the second best thing- drinking more. We came back to SB's place and had more scotch (and for Yat, I had it on the rocks...).. We ended up calling it an early night (3AM) as we had rented a pimp house at Lake Navasha, which is about two hours away..

it's too bad you didn't have the same luck as terence and i did when we were there. terence turned his 2000 Ksh into 18000 Ksh.
hope you guys are having a good time out there. i know we did.
i don't know what's worst - splitting 10's or adding ice to your scotch...both as inexcusable as me betting on Utah
