Ménage a Trois
As part my reassessment of my life, it is only natural to look at my friends and see how they are doing in their life. Not surprisingly, nearly 99% of my male friends are still single, except for Abhi. I don't think he counts because he has been in a relationship ever since I met him. Every one is proudly single, and no one has yet has resorted to indianmarriages.com (if someone that I know is on that shit, please please send me the link.)
While some are getting more ass than others, everyone still goes out and hollers. This definitely makes me feel better as there is power in numbers. So when my dad complains of my lack of game, I have something to tell him . Believe it or not he has.
My dad and I were in a plane coming back from India in 2000 and of course he spends the next hour talking to the fine ass air waitress and joking with her. I of course stare at her trying to play it cool, and don’t say a word. This led to the inevitable lecture in the car on the way home. This talk was way worse than the sex talk, and that was real bad. More on this later.
Of course most of the girls I knew in college are either in a serious relationship, engaged or married. But they are girls, and they have their clocks to think about - they are playing an entirely different game. But hey it is still a big thing as most of them are marrying their significant others from college. I chose my senior year instead to break up with a girl because I wanted to be free and just live it up with my crew. Again, at the time it seemed like the right choice- I had no idea you could be in a relationship and still have a crew. Surprisingly, most of my crew did not have any normal long-term relationships in college, and for some odd reason, those who did, were clowned on. That is right. We clowned on people who got ass. Welcome to my crew.
Anyhow, some of my friends have been doing some big things with their careers. One just moved to London for 3 months to see how many 19-year-old LSE girls he could hook up with. Some have worked on both coasts and some are working internationally. Others have finished med school and heading to be great residency programs. Others are in graduate school getting their doctorates/MBAs. In short, some pretty amazing things.
I still need to think more to see if I even compare to these amazing accomplishments. I am just a survivor. As a graduating senior, I knew alot of people entering the investment banking industry. Now, for better or worse, Deeps and I are the last ones in the industry - and she just joined a year ago.
In honor of two of my homies doing big things in their life, I am posting this video of a moment they prolly want to forget. It features Elson, one of the most smartest kids ever to pickup the joint. Honestly, if you have never met/smoked with this guy, you are missing out. He was recently accepted into the highly ranked and competitive anesthesiology residency program at Cornell.
The other co-star is Ravi aka "Dirty Dirty". This guy knows every single line to every eighties song and every single sport statistic ever - I would not be surprised if he remembers how many points I scored the last time we played ball. He recently picked up his bags moved from Los Angeles to Seattle, and is in the process of taking over a new town. He switched companies and now is working for TCS and thereby with 50% of the fobs in the US.
Here is the long awaited video of Elson's and Ravi's Ménage a Trios from our trip to Vegas in 2005. I did not want to join in so I took video instead.
Enjoy.
