It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday
It all started a week ago, when a contractor came over to our house to inspect the roof. I thought it was a routine inspection, but boy was I wrong. Not only did he tell us we could not have access to our private deck for the summer, but it was illegal to BBQ up there and more importantly we would need to remove DirecTV.
I nearly cussed the guy out. First, after the barrage of rain we have experienced, I was really looking forward to enjoying barbequing on the roof. I was even about to buy a hammock. He told us a grill is a fire hazard. How the hell is a propane grill a fire hazard? When he said because bringing a propane tank through the front gate presents a safety issue, I nearly started laughing. Ever been in an argument, when the other side has the dumbest logic or makes an "ill-advised" statement? You can’t believe someone is that dumb, and almost feel bad for the kid.
Then, he told me having a satellite is against HOA rules. What is the point of having a deck if you cant have satellite or a grill? This is why all HOA are communists and why I will never buy a condo. What’s next? We can’t smoke cigs on the roof?
I ignored the grill comment, but since the landlord sent us a statement regarding DirecTV, I knew I lost that battle. Now I knew we would be losing NFL ticket, which did not bother me as much as my roommates, because I am not a hardcore fan and all the Raider Games are usually available.
Then I found out that Comcast does not have TNT in HD, which means the rest of the NBA playoffs, at least on the weekdays will not be HD. I will no longer be able to see Sir Charles in all of his 500lb glory, or see the Clippers take revenge on the Suns. Again, I would have been more pissed if the Lakers were still in the playoffs.
Game 7 of the Lakers Series will be now known as the game as some Lakers fan bought Trips, T and I 6 pitchers of beer. Btw, he was straight, for those with the oh-so-clever SF jokes. Then the house gave me a free pitcher for screwing up my food order. In the end, we only paid for 1 pitcher and some yager shots. Lakers did lose, but we won.
Btw, the "Suck It Easy" jersey was brought out of retirement. I did not get too many comments or props, but some girl got confused and asked me if I was a Sacramento fan. My jersey is freaking yellow and purple with a big Lakers logo on front. Again, I felt bad and just started laughing.
Anyhow, I waited till my officemate left and closed the door, so I could called Comcast and to ask @ Playboy TV without feeling like a pervert. When he told me it was not available, I was pissed and hurt. I was only able to live the dream and live like a king for a month.
Now, as Ray Liota says in Good Fellas, "[Now], I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.”
Because I am pretty happy that I learned how to post videos, here are some videos from the sloshball weeked. The first is some of my fraternity friends "wrestling" drunk as hell (and just as an fyi, that is me giggling like a schoolgirl). The second is the 14ft beer bong. Enjoy.

I am pretty sure that most cities have an ordinance that prevents HOA's from restricting their residents form getting Satellite. Maybe you want to check into that....
looks like you're gonna have to go back to good ole' fashioned hardcore porn...tough break
